As a tried and true TEXAN, I can honestly say that North Monroe, its staff and its people, truly are the best things about Louisiana. The members are loving and caring and the staff is compassionate about bringing people to Jesus. (Not to mention that they are crazy and fun to be around.)

I was born and raised in Groves, Texas. Groves is a small town close to the Gulf Coast, nestled between Port Arthur and Beaumont. As a result, I love the beach, swimming, beach volleyball, or in others words, anything to do with the beach. I enjoy water parks, amusement parks, and anything outdoors. I also love skiing -  both snow and water.

My best friend, Tammy, and I were married in December of 1990. We both enjoy music of all kinds. One of our favorite things to do is to curl up on the couch and watch movies.

Our family started with a small dog and then added three beautiful daughters. (The dog was a boy, but he ran away. Go figure.) Kaitlyn, 14 yrs., loves reading and ballet. Kendra, 12yrs., loves sports, especially softball. Kyra, 8 yrs., loves life. All three girls are daddy’s girls. Recently we have added three more puppies - one for each girl. (Obviously, I can’t say no to my girls. Do they have me wrapped around their little fingers, or what?)

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Lamar University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from McNeese State University.

My passion and calling in life is to see children come to know Jesus Christ and make Him their “Forever Friend”. Seeing children worship and leading them in worship of our Lord is a high for me.

Proverbs 3: 5-6 is our life scripture. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”
